LYY’s 41. Annual Ball week
Welcome to celebrate the 41st anniversary of the Student Union of the University of Lapland with us!
Due to the exceptional year, the annual ball cannot be celebrated traditionally, but the 41-year-old student union can still be celebrated throughout the week from your own home sofa. The events are meant for everyone in the community!

Café Lingua
Café Lingua is searching for native speakers of the following languages to collaborate with them as Café Lingua leaders: English, Finnish, German, Italian, French, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish.
WHAT DOES A LEADER DO?
As a leader, you will be responsible for a Facebook group dedicated to your native language. Your task is to activate conversation by starting conversation threads, sharing interesting content and possibly hosting some online meetings within the groups (using Messenger Rooms, Skype, Teams or similar).
WHY SHOULD I BECOME A LEADER?
Being a Café Lingua leader is a great way to get in touch with people interested in learning your native language, get to know people from Rovaniemi, network and make new friends – and all this while being safely and comfortably at home. Leaders also get a certificate of participation that can be useful in job search later on.
HOW DO I SIGN UP?
Write a message to coordinator Laura Senni (laura.senni@ulapland.fi) in which you mention your native language (or languages). We will be in touch with you for further details.
MY NATIVE LANGUAGE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE LIST. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
If you are interested in the activity, just let us know! The more languages, the better.
I DON’T WANT TO BE A LEADER, BUT I WANT TO PRACTICE ONE OF THE LANGUAGES. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Join one of the Facebook groups of the page Café Lingua Rovaniemi (see link above) and follow the posts and updates in the group.

The Student Union has created a feedback channel, which is open to everyone. On the channel you can let us know your thoughts anonymously or ask anything. You can contact us personally or via the feedback form.
