The University’s hybrid mode continues until the end of the year
The University has updated their guidelines concerning the coronavirus. Work will continue in hybrid mode until the end of the year.

LYY cancels the Tori sittning and Park Festival
The Council of Representatives of LYY has decided in their meeting on 16.9.2020 to cancel the Tori sitnning event (Torisitsit) meant to take place on 23.9.2020. Following this decision, the executive board of LYY has decided to cancel the Park Festival (Puistofestarit) as well.
LYY will refund the money already paid for the Tori sittning tickets and vouchers as soon as possible.

The Finnish Student Championships of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
Student union SAMMAKKO and 100k esports in cooperation with Finnish Student Sports Federation and Finnish eSports Federation are kickstarting the biggest electronic competition of the year!
The Finnish Student Championships of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, held for the third time, are organized in two stages, entirely online. The competition begins with online qualifiers, according to which four teams will be invited to the championship finals tournament held on 21.-22.11.2020.
Any student in an university or an university of applied sciences can take part in the competition. All games in the tournament will be fully livestreamed.

Suggestions for the badge of merit and the student achievement of the year!
Every year at the annual ball the student union rewards people, who have been taking part in the student union’s activities in a commendable way. Now is your chance to suggest a person who deserves a badge of merit or a person/group who’s idea or event has been the student achievement of the year! The rewards will be given at the LYY’s annual ball on 10th of October in 2020
