Congratulations on your study place in Rovaniemi! Finding your own accommodation is probably your top priority right now. Please remember that DAS has a continuous application process. Apartments become available every month and are offered to applicants on an ongoing basis. You can apply for housing through DAS even if your study place has not yet been officially confirmed. For apartments becoming available in August and September, priority is given to new students who are starting their first year of studies in Rovaniemi. Read more on the DAS website.

If you need temporary accommodation, here is the most important information:

• Temporary accommodation is available from 10 August to 2 November 2026.
• Reservations can be made by email at lyy@lyy.fi or at the LYY Student Services Office, where you will receive your key and pay the accommodation fee. The key must also be returned to the LYY office.
• Guests must bring their own sleeping bag or duvet, pillow, bed linen, towels, dishes, and any other personal necessities. Please note that neither LYY nor DAS provides these items.
• Separate accommodation is available for men and women. The facilities include a refrigerator and a stove. Showers and toilets are located in the building’s sauna area.
• The accommodation fee is 12€ per night. The payment is non-refundable, even if your need for temporary accommodation ends earlier than expected.
• Dedicated laundry time slots will be arranged for temporary accommodation guests.
