The University of Lapland student union offers its members legal aid services. The purpose of the legal aid is to advise the university students who have worries or issues that require legal expertise. Good examples of such issues could be renting an apartment or uncertainty considering your new working contract.
The service is available via email and by having a personal meeting. The emails are checked once a week. You can email the whole case you are seeking a solution for or suggest a time and a date for the meeting. All the contacts to the service are anonymous and confidential.
The legal aid worker is Joona Kuruaho. You can contact them by emailing oikeusapu(at)lyy.fi.
