20 members were elected to the Student Parliament in the Students’ Union’s election in University of Lapland. The new Parliament begins its two-year-long term on December 1st, 2021.
Altogether 1307 votes were given in the election. 8 of the votes were disqualified. Voting turnout was 31,30 %.
There were 6 association that nominated candidates. Biggest assocation was Artikla (Law Students) who kept their six seats. TAO-lista (Art Students) increased their seats from four to six. YTK:n superlista (Students of Social Sciences) doubled their seats from two to four. Neliapila (Center) and Kokoomus (Right-wing Coalition) kept their seats (Neliapila 2, Kokoomus 1). Vihertävät (Greens) had one seat.
The three candidates that got the most votes wereSusan Seppälä (TAO-lista) with 85 votes, Jenna Tuominen (Artikla) with 46 votes and Jenni Matilainen (YTK:n superlista) with 44 votes.
