Student Union’s customer service point is open at the university, F-wing. The customer service is open:
- Tuesday and thursday at 12-14

Candidates for Student parliament Elections 2019 have been published 10.10.!
The Student Parliament elections of the Student union of the university of Lapland is coming and now’s the time to act!
Student parliament is the highest decision-making body in the student union. Student parliament is elected every second year, and next elections will be held in autumn 2019. The term of the present student parliament will end on 30th of November 2019 and the new parliament will start their term on 1st of December 2019. Student parliament elections of the Student Union of the University of Lapland will be held on 6th of November 2019, advance voting on 31.10.–1.11.2019 and 4.–5.11.2019.

The most legendary student event “Koskenlasku” 2019
“Koskenlasku” 2019 is here again on the 25th of October 2019! We’ll travel back to the time of lumberjacks and matrons – now it’s time to put on your breeches, find your oars and conquer Koskikatu as river pirate!
The engineering and business administration student unions present: The Koskenlasku of River Pirates!
Koskenlasku is a long-standing student event where one travels downward Koskikatu enjoying pubs, bars and restaurants. This year the new fascinating feature is the theme of River Pirates. Traditionally a group begins from Pub Hulibumba, but the pirates have not complied with the laws before, so why they should start now?
Tickets: 6€ Member of IOL or Student of business and technology
Tickets: 8€ non member
Checkpoints: 5:00-10:00 pm
After party at Half Moon Night Club
The team registration and ticket sale at UAS (Jokiväylä campus) and University of Lapland. You can also buy tickets from Kide.App.
Timetables will be informed later!
The team registration and ticket sale for who are out of town is on Friday 25.10.2019 4.00 pm to 6 pm at Kansa Pub and the actual competition begins around 5:00 pm.

Get your sport pass now and download YOGOBE- yoga application
As a special autumn offer you can get YOGOBE -application for free when you buy a sport pass. Offer is valid till 31st August 2020.
How to get one?
- Send an e-mail to mika.vettainen@lapinamk.fi and tell that you want to get YOGOBE
- You´ll get a code to sign in at www.yogobe.com/fi
- You have to activate your code within registration by putting the code to “giftcard” -column or if you already have working ID you are able to activate a code at your own home page when you are logged in.
- Code entitles you to use YOGOBE for free till 31th august 2020. The deal is worth of 199€! Please note that you can activate the code only once and that the code is personal.
If you don´t have a sport pass yet, it´s about time to get it!

Rent LYY’s Sauna for your parties
Student Union’s Sauna is available for renting during the summertime. If you are a member of the Student Union of the University of Lapland, the renting costs you 100 euros / night. For non-members the price from Sunday to Thursday is 150 euros / night and from Friday to Saturday 200 euros / night. Booking happens via email to edunvalvonta(at)lyy.fi or by phone +358 45 138 4190.
