- 26.3. 17:00–18:15 LYY & ROTKO’s Municipal and Regional Election Panel at Lapland UAS (Lapin AMK) Showroom Candidates will be interviewed about issues that matter to students in the upcoming elections.

- LYY’s Statement on the Northern Finland Program
LYY has released a public statement regarding the Northern Finland Program. While the program appears promising for improving the status of young people living and studying in the region, LYY calls for more concrete actions. LYY continues to collaborate with the university, the city, and DAS to find solutions to the student housing crisis, aiming to make Rovaniemi as student-friendly as possible.
Events
- Laskiaisrieha – Day One Recap
LYY organized the first day of Laskiaisrieha at Susivouti Field in collaboration with Artikla, Kosmos Buran, ESN Lapland, and Lapikas. The event featured snow football, grilling sausages, and outdoor fun. Despite the challenging weather, the atmosphere remained great. Students’ shrove is brought to you by DAS!

- LYY is Moving to the University
To support the move, LYY hosted a Lovisa Space Design Workshop on 21.2. from 12:00 to 13:30, where participants brainstormed colors and furniture for shared spaces. - New Project Employee
LYY has hired Laura Horsma for a temporary position as a project worker to assist with customer service and event production. - Cybersecurity and Data Protection Training for Student Organizations
On February 13, LYY hosted an open training session for student organizations on communication security and data protection. The event featured university security experts Pekka Halmkrona and Markus Veteläinen as speakers. - LYY at SYL’s Opening Seminar
LYY representatives attended SYL’s opening seminar in Tampere on 6–7.2., 2025. SYL organizes two annual seminars for all Finnish student unions, featuring training sessions, networking opportunities, and speeches from policymakers. - Wellness Pass Feedback Survey Open Until 9.3.
