6.5. Statement on the Government’s proposal for the amendment of the Building Act

The bill to amend the Construction Act, i.e. the “short-term rental bill”, is currently being considered by the Parliament in committee. The entry into force of the bill as such will not ease the housing crisis for students in Rovaniemi, as it legalises activities that have led to a crisis in the situation. In its statement, LYY calls for responsible legislative work that takes the local population into account. You can read the full statement on LYY’s website and social media.
