The Student Union of the University of Lapland (LYY) is seeking suitable student to serve as harassment contact person.
Harassment contact persons are members of the student community whom students can contact if they experience bullying, harassment, or discrimination. They can also be contacted if a student feels that the principles outlined in the student union’s equality and non-discrimination plan are not being upheld within the student union or its affiliated organizations. These contact persons offer confidential support and a listening ear, and if the student wishes, they can help resolve the issues raised.
Applicants are expected to have an interest in improving the university community’s atmosphere, an understanding of confidentiality, and good interpersonal skills. Experience in conflict resolution and psychosocial support is considered an asset. The role requires fluency in both Finnish and English.
A monthly compensation of €50 is paid for the role, excluding June and July.
