The council hired the Secretary General and elected the chair and vice chairs. The budget and action plan for the coming year were also confirmed. The Council of Representatives elected Pekka Nikumatti as the chair of the Council. Susan Sepp\u00e4l\u00e4 is the 1st vice chair and Jesse H\u00e4yh\u00e4 is the 2nd vice chair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThanks to the Council of Representatives for their trust. I want to represent the entire university and all members of the student union as the chair, \u201dNikumatti commented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Council also decided to hire Miikka Ker\u00e4nen as the new Secretary General of the Student Union. Ker\u00e4nen has served as Deputy Secretary General for the past year and has been involved in the activities of the Student Union for several years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The past year has taught a lot and been meaningful, and it&#8217;s wonderful to get on with our projects,&#8221; says Ker\u00e4nen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Council continued its meeting the following day. Krista Per\u00e4l\u00e4 was elected as the Chair of the Executive Board for the next year. The following persons were elected as members of the board: Miila Lumij\u00e4rvi, Viljo Vuorim\u00e4ki, Evilla Lumme, Elias Id and Eetu Ahvensalmi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s wonderful to be able to continue on the board.
