The Executive Board consists of a chair and 4\u20138 board members. The board&#8217;s duties include implementing the decisions made by the student Union&#8217;s Council of Representatives. The board works closely with the office staff to promote the interests of students and maintain student culture at the University of Lapland. Membership of the board is a position of trust. The board decides on its own division of areas of responsibilities each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can contact the chair of the board at puheenjohtaja@lyy.fi and send emails to the board members at name.surname@lyy.fi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lyy.fi\/en\/contact-lyy\/#hallitus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Get to know the Board<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Join the Executive Board<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to excellent Finnish language skills, board members are not required to have previous experience in the role, but good teamwork skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a willingness to take on new challenges are considered an advantage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More detailed information on applying for the board is always provided at the end of the year, before the representative council meeting where the board is appointed.
