Council of Representatives meeting 28.10.
LYY’s Council of Representatives will have a hybrid meeting: Members of LYY can participate both in the LS2 room at the university or via Adobe Connect. Please contact the Chair of the Council Miikka Keränen well in advance if you wish to attend the meeting online (email@example.com). Please note that the meeting will be held in Finnish and that in the LS2 we recommend observing safe distances and other health measures.

LYY’s Member Survey
Answer LYY’s member survey and make a difference!
LYY has made a survey for our members. The survey’s goal is to find out what you think is the Student Union’s role in the everyday life of students and what being a member of the union means to you. The survey aims to identify the thoughts LYY’s members have about the values and future of the Student Union.
What values do you think LYY should and how do you see our Student Union in the future? This survey is meant for members of LYY for creating LYY’s strategy for 2021-2023.
The survey is open until 27.10., 23:59.
Rector’s Morning Coffee
Antti Syväjärvi, Rector of the University of Lapland, invites the members of staff and students for a Rector’s Morning Coffee webinar on Thursday 29 October 2020. The session will start at 8:30 am and last for an hour.
The morning coffee session provides space for discussing topical issues of the University. You can send in questions for the Rector in advance. Please, send your questions on Monday 26 October at 3:00 pm at the latest. Please note that the main language of the event is Finnish, but questions can be sent also in English. You can send your questions and comments anonymously, under a pseudonym, or with your own name. You may also ask questions ad-lib during the session.
The coffee session will be carried out using Adobe Connect connection.

A hackathon like no other, gathering people all over the world to simultaneously hack in both physical locations and online.
On November 6th to 8th, Junction 2020 Connected gathers thousands of hackers and tech enthusiasts from all around the world to hack to… uhm well, all around the world.
Happening both virtually and physically, Junction 2020 Connected has the best of both worlds: the spirit of a traditional Junction hackathon with the fresh possibilities that online hackathons have to offer.
